Family Nutini live in Scotland for four generations, emigrated from Italy during the First World War. Paolo’s great-grandfather opened a cheap fish shop in Paisley, which is now owned by his parents. Start of musical education Paolo put his grandfather, who introduced him to Scottish folk songs and a wide range of other styles.

Nutini first started singing in public in the school choir, where one of the teachers quickly determined his prodigious talent.

In July, they released their first single, «Last Request» and immediately got on the fifth place in the UK charts. The debut album These Streets – the third, was certified gold in just two weeks, and recently went platinum. In addition to this success, the album received laudatory reviews from critics. Magazine «Uncut Magazine» gave it four stars out of five, «The Observer» said Paolo talent for writing elegant, melodic songs, and American «Rolling Stone» included it in the list of the 10 best new artists in 2006.

Paolo warmed superstars like Paul Weller and the Rolling Stones, as well as successfully performed on the TV show «Top of the Pops» and «Later with Jools Holland». In July he made his appearance at the festival Montreux Jazz Festival on the same stage with celebrities like Solomon Burke, Robert Plant and Kid Rock.
