American film actor, producer and director.

September 21, 1931, Fort Worth, Texas, USA – November 23, 2012 in Dallas, Texas, United States.

His mother is a famous actress Mary Martin (1913-1990), and

father, District Attorney Jack Hegman. His parents divorced in 1936, when Hagman was five years old.

When his mother began working with Paramount Pictures, she took Hagman work on the set.

Then he started his career in Dallas, playing small roles in the theater, and in 1950 made his Broadway debut in the play “The Taming of the Shrew».

In 1951 he played in the London version of the musical “South Pacific”, where the main role was played by his mother.

In 1952, during the Korean War Hegman was drafted into the Air Force United States.
