Al Jefferson – American professional basketball player, was born on January 4, 1985 in the town of Monticello, Mississippi. He went into the starting lineup in 60 games, but in the early summer of 2006, a survey showed that Al needed surgery to remove growths on the bones of the foot. The operation was successful, it was held August 2, 2006. But in November the same year, Al was back on the operating table, this time he was in the hospital because of appendicitis. After surgery El missed seven games and returned to the team on Nov. 23, 2006.
