Born: February 23, 1944 United Kingdom

Bernard Cornwell was born in London on February 23, 1944. His father was a Canadian pilot, and his mother served in auxiliary parts of the Air Force. After the death of his parents’ adopted family from Essex, owned by a religious sect “special people.” He escaped from there and entered the University of London, after it worked for a time a teacher, and then joined the BBC on-Sea, where he worked for the next 10 years, starting as a reporter, and the finished head of the news bureau BBC BBC in Northern Ireland. There he met and fell in love with Julia, a citizen of the United States. This meeting had consequences that nobody at the time could have foreseen. Here’s what he says about this Bernard Cornwell:

“I’m afraid that the appearance of books of Sharpe was a matter of extremely random. As a teenager, I read all the books about Hornblower, and wanted to read more, but no more, so I started reading historical literature, and came across the story of actions of Wellington’s army in the Peninsula. I spent years searching in bookstores books about “land” Hornblower, found nothing, and thought it would be interesting to write something myself.

Cornwall – author of a number of series of historical and adventure books, among which, of course, occupies a central place saga of arrow Sharpe, but not speaking about the work of Cornwall, to lose his other series, the best of which, perhaps, are the “Saxon Chronicles”, which translated into Russian is almost completed. Her continued (in chronological order of action): “Pale Rider,””Lords of the North”,”Song of the Sword,” “Burning land”.
